Jigsaw Jones and the Case of the Marshmallow Monster

Written by James Preller

Jigsaw, Mila and many of their classmates went camping. Jigsaw was on vacation from solving mysteries but when there was a rumor of a monster and he gets scared in the water, he takes the case. Read this book to find out how Jigsaw solves the mystery

I gave this book four stars because it was a good, entertaining book. I didn't like that the ending didn't solve all the parts of the mystery, like what happened in the water. Other than that, it was a great book!

How to Make a Hotdog

Written by Joy Cowley
Illustrated by Chris Norfolk

The setting of this book is the kitchen. The book is telling you how to make a hotdog, like put a bun first, then put some toppings on it. I gave this book two stars because it was a little too easy for me, but I still kind of liked it because it is about hotdogs and I like hotdogs. This book would be good for kindergarden and first grade or people who like hotdogs.

Jigsaw Jones: The Case of the Haunted Scarecrow

Written by James Preller

Review #1:

This book is about Jigsaw Jones and Mila. They are second grade detectives. They are on the case of a stolen necklace. While Jigsaw is looking for the stolen necklace a haunted scarecrow walks towards him. Now he has two mysteries to solve.

I gave this book three stars because it was good but there wasn't too much action. I thought it would be scarier but it mostly just talked about the case. I recommend third and fourth graders read this book.

Review #2:

The characters aer Jigsaw and Mila. The setting of this book is outside by a tree and houses. The characters search for a lost necklace and they find a haunted scarecrow.

I gave this book four stars because the book is exciting! I think this is a good book for second or third grade.
